Maple Cinnamon Matcha – Recipe 🍁

By Carolina Rettig

Sweet maple syrup, warm cinnamon and deep green matcha – a combination that fits autumn perfectly. This recipe is easy to make, looks impressive and tastes exactly like a cosy autumn day in a glass.

Ingredients – 1 serving

  • About 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Ice
  • Oat milk
  • 2–4 g Zenzi Matcha

Cinnamon Cold Foam:

  • 1 part whipping cream
  • 1 part oat milk
  • Cinnamon to taste

Topping (optional):

  • Extra cinnamon
  • Cinnamon stick 🍁

How to Make It

  1. Pour the maple syrup into the bottom of the glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice and pour over the oat milk.
  3. Whisk 2–4 g of Zenzi Matcha with hot water (70–80°C) until smooth and frothy, then pour gently over the milk.
  4. Whisk the whipping cream, oat milk and cinnamon with a milk frother until fluffy, then spoon the cinnamon cold foam on top.
  5. Finish with extra cinnamon and a cinnamon stick for an extra festive touch.

Tips

Stir the maple syrup and oat milk together lightly before pouring the matcha over to blend the flavours without losing the layers entirely. Want a warmer autumn drink? Skip the ice and heat the milk instead.

Why Zenzi Matcha?

The naturally mild and slightly sweet flavour of Zenzi Matcha pairs perfectly with the roundness of maple syrup and the warmth of cinnamon – no bitterness to get in the way. Ceremonial grade direct from Japan, intensely green and smooth in every sip.
